FRC Week 1 Update

A whole week has gone by since the launch of this years FRC competition, and as you can imagine it has been a frantic one. The design team have been very busy drawing up preliminary designs for both the robot's arm and drive system, as well as building a working prototype for the grabber out of K'Nex. Work on an improved trolley to transport this years robot around the arena has also been mostly completed, with test runs being made using last years robot. It certainly hasn't been a smooth week either, with issues with updating our robot control laptop and wiring up our new wireless bridge to the robot's electronics causing quite a headache for the team.

The marketing team has also made a huge amount of progress on securing sponsorship and developing an exciting new partnership with Nanoracks, which will see us offering a new service to educational establishments in the near future. More information on this partnership will follow soon. They have also been working on this years team T-shirts and banners for the competition, as well as new content and design updates for this website, which we aim to publish in early February.
